This course functions as a introduction to college writing and research that follows the theme presented by the university’s choice for first year book. In the fall of 2016, we read Enrique's Journey by Sonia Nazario. Students learned how to read, write, and analyze rhetoric in addition to writing research papers that required MLA formatting.
